To come and garden with us, you need to sign up to be a member of the Barley Community Garden. You'll get invited to members meetings (including our Annual General Meeting) and given a vote but attendance is entirely optional. More importantly, we'll be able to ensure we can accommodate any health needs, contact someone in the unlikely event of an emergency and add you to our volunteer insurance policy.

There are two sections to this form. You must complete and submit both of them to apply. 

Section A: Contact details

Your contact details

We will use these to register your for insurance purposes and to invite you to gardening sessions, events and member meetings, as well as keep you updated on matters relevant to your membership of the Barley Community Garden and for no other purpose.

Emergency contact details

In the unlikely event that something happens to you while you're gardening with us, we need to know who to contact in the event of an emergency.

* please note if you chose not to select this option, you will still be automatically signed up to emails that relate to your membership e.g. invitations to members meetings or circulation of minutes from those meetings and updates on gardening sessions and events.

Section B: Medical details

We gather this information to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants. It enables us to make sure we give the right jobs, to the right people and support anyone that needs it appropriately while gardening.

 

This information is only accessible by the Committee and kept in the strictest of confidence, in accordance with GDPR regulations. It will not be shared with any third parties without your explicit consent.
